Nepal Muslim Samaj

Muslim Community Development Awareness Centre of Nepal is time-honored to compile the wish and service of the socialist from community for human kind and involve them in the different social activities. It is also there to establish a good relationship among people from different sectors and professions, and through the process, unify the power of Youth, Children, Women, Dalit, Janjati, and deprived group for their overall development counting the utilization of their strength for the active participation in the country development. The "Nepal Muslim Samaj Bikas Chetna Kendra" is a not-for-profit non political organization and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that was established in 2002. There are 52 general members including 11 executive board members headed by the president. The Resource Center Building of the organization is located at Nepalgunj Banke. In terms of relationship, MCDACN has a very good relationship with local government /line agencies and stakeholders such as VDCs, DDC, DEO, DADO, DIO, DAO. It has positive building relationship with its donor agencies such Actionaid,DFID,Crihpa Nepal,DDC,Save the Children and Helvitas.

While working towards the sustained development of Nepal's poor, marginalized, landless and disabled Muslim population, the right to food, health, education and the rights of Muslim women and children are at the core of the Centers work.


With its team comprising of human rights defenders, gender and social experts, the Centre's work includes documentation of human rights offences, dissemination of information, education, communication, training, research, publication, litigation, legal assistance and advocacy. During its work, the organization liaises with various national and international level human rights groups including the United Nations, ActionAid International, Care Foundation and the United Kingdom's DFID International Aid agency. Currently the program is being conducted in 15VDCs and 1 municipality of Banke district.
