We, Salem and Mohammad Al-Mutlak of the Zalabih tribe, were born in the desert of Wadi Rum. We have worked collaboratively with our local community to offer tourism services since 1998. These services include camping, camel riding, hiking, scrambling, transportation, mountain climbing and yoga programs. We love our work as it enables share our desert with the world!
We recommend overnight trips in Wadi Rum, which give the visitor a chance to explore the desert at a slower pace and truly enjoy its grandeur. We can also provide our customers with information about the wildlife of Wadi Rum as it is considered a protected area and a habitat for a variety wild animals and plants.
Wadi Rum bustles with many experienced tour guides. Our guides live in the local area - the desert is our home, enabling us to provide the visitor with the pleasure and security of access to local knowledge. Our knowledge of the area's environment results from our previous work with the Royal Scientific Society. Our prices include all services, including jeeps, camels, hiking, yoga and meals. The 5 JD entrance fee is not included, as it must be paid at the Wadi Rum visitors' center upon entering the protected area.
The camp is small, intimate and very safe. You will experience the serenity only found in the heart of the desert, and enjoy the dazzling night sky unpolluted by city lights. From here you can trek from the camp to the white sands area, Al-Qattar Spring, and the Sunset Trail. Our tents are fully furnished with all of the necessary sleeping equipment (mattresses, sheets, pillows, blankets, etc.) and opens directly into the desert expanse. Rest rooms are modern and clean, with flush toilets, showers, and hot and cold running water.
It is our pleasure to respond to any inquiry made by our dear visitors regarding the area, natural environment, or desert life and traditions.
