King Faisal Hospital, Kigali

Started in 1997, with the support of Saudi Fund and officially opened by H.E Paul KAGAME (then the Vice President and Minister of Defense), King Faisal Hospital (KFH) is a leading health services provider in Rwanda.

Our primary role is to promote, maintain and restore the health of Rwandan and other nationals within the region.

The hospital is a specialty and super specialty center handling national and regional referral cases. We get most of our patients through the national referral system.

Our dream is to be a health center hub for the region and center for education and research.

The hospital has a capacity of 160 beds and offers a minimum of 33 services with the aim of providing specialized health care in Rwanda and reducing the large number of cases referred to centers outside Rwanda. There are also Executive services.
KFH does this with an empowered workforce in an environment that values professionalism respects patient’s rights and upholds human dignity at all times. With the partners in research and education, within available resources, KFH contributes to the development of health services in Rwanda.
In its quest for excellence, the Hospital is determined to achieve full accreditation status and ignited the process by engaging in a Quality Accreditation Facilitation and Management program from 2008 to 2010.
The hospital currently acquired International Accreditation by COHSASA and is ranked the first government owned hospital to be accredited in the Region.
