Business Minds

Through this club, we aim to expose students to real business world scenarios through a fun, interesting and challenging way. We aim to do this by helping dedicated students prepare and excel at various business competitions around the United Arab Emirates. Providing students with the opportunity to take part in well reputed events such as the Skyline Business competition and Herriot Watt University Business Event provides them with insights of real life business situations. Moreover, motivated from the interest shown by students, we aim to host our very own Business Event at Dubai International Academy. The Business Event will subsequently consist of various competitions aimed to target the best in every student. By having a range of competitions, students are given the ability to specialise in one aspect of the business world that they excel at. This could be through the marketing of a product, the creation of a business plan, the designing of a prospective application, etc. Our event is unique, as compared to other events, because we plan to hold activities such as Ted Talks and Workshops to engage the audience. Furthermore, this year, we plan to introduce a newly anticipated competition concept of providing students with a venture and simulating real life events such as crises and updates to evaluate the necessary decisions they make when tackling such situations. This will test their on the spot thinking, and decision making skills. The theme of the event will be innovation; therefore, participating in the competition will be a great opportunity for students to enhance their creativity, negotiation, leadership, marketing and public speaking skills by interacting with many new colleagues within an international environment.
