Bangladesh International School, Dammam

The Bangladesh International School Dammam is an international school located in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.It was established on 1 January 1987. H. E. Hedayet Ahmed, then Ambassador of Bangladesh, proposed the school as a part of the education and cultural wing of the Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arabia. The school is run by school management committee elected by school parents. The current chairman is Mr. Mohammad Zaidi Ibna Ahad, the principal is Mr. Rajjool Monsoom, and the vice principal is M.M.M. Nawfal. The school has nearly 1,400 students from Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Pakistan.The school has two sections: The school section - Grade KG to Grade X The college section - Grade XI to Grade XIICurriculumBISD follows the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES) for its course structure. Students appear for their 'IGCSE' level examination after completing Grade X under UCLES and 'AS'&'A' level examination after completing Grade XI and Grade XII respetively under UCLES. Both of the examinations take place with the supervision of the British Council situated in Eastern Province. BISD has 33 male teachers and 51 female teachers, all Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani and Sri Lankan.BISD Online Campus Introduced 2017The new dynamic Government bodies of BISD and Principal Mr. Rajjool Monsoom dreamed of a web portal which will help the students to get materials from online or to get the marks or report card online which will also help the parents to get updated with latest information and also about the performance of their children. So they approved the website and also the web portal on 2016 and now its serving the whole community students designed by Meshilogic and project led by students of Bangladesh International School Dammam.
