Fancy a trip to Dahab to work there?

Anything is possible! If you‘re longing for an adventurous journey or just want to work on your bachelor thesis; even the founding of your own business can be realized.
Or are you simply looking for a break to slow down from everyday life?

Our idea:
Dahab is a precious and many-sided place. We have found our inner peace here and now we would like to open a ‚coworking space‘ to provide the same, unique experiences for you.

What is coworking?

Coworking is a development within the field of ‚new modes of working‘.
In the space of coworking, freelancers, startups and digital nomads come together to work next to- and with one another.
The support that coworkers give to each other and the community plays an elementary role here.
Dahab is an extraordinarly beautiful little spot on earth and it is perfectly suited to gain new energy and ideas for your work; those creative thoughts you would only find outside of your habitual sourrounding.
A new and so far unknown spiritedness will come to light and you will regain the power to get on with it.

That’s Dahab!

This little ‚Hippie town‘ is located on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, approx. 1 hour distance to the north of the airport in Sharm el Shaik.
The main part of citizens living on the Sinai Peninsula are bedouins. They used to be travelling people until they found ‚the gold‘ (The arabian meaning of ‚Dahab‘ is ‚gold‘ ).
The people of Dahab all send out a deep inner contentedness which is catching to anybody from the start.
Moreover, clocks are simply ticking a different rhythm here.
I have never ever experienced a more peaceful place on my journey round the globe.

Among other things, this is why Dahab is the perfect place to work from there.
Especially at times of the year when the weather in Germany is getting dull and uncomfortable, there is no place like Dahab (with chances of up to 95% of a clear blue sky) to get motivated.
Besides, here we are full of new ideas and develop inovative concepts or projects to successfully get over our everyday organisational blindness.
We cannot give you any scientific explanation for this phenomenon. But in our opinion there needn’t always be one.
You have to find out for yourself. ;-)




What does Dahab offer me to fill out my spare time?

There are a various number of amazing sports activities like for example:
- One hour of Yoga before or after work
- A multitude of the worlds‘ best diving spots (Blue Hole, Canyon and so on)
- 1st class wind conditions for kite-and windsurfing
- Freediving (apnoe diving)
- Climbing
- Jogging at the awakening town‘s promenade in the early morning hours.

How much does it cost me?

The expanses of your coworking adventure in Dahab are low.
Cost of living is so little that you might even save some of your money, compared to the relation between life and working in Germany.
For a returning flight you usually pay about 260€ to 330€ ( Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Munich…). We have also seen flights for a rate of 200€ only.
For a really tasty main dish including starter, drink and Shisha you’re already aboard for a minor investment, talking about a price level staring from 4-5 €.
With us, you will get a room including a coworking place from 30€/per day.

How do I get from Sharm el Shaik airport to Dahab?

We are happy to organize a mobile transfer which picks you straight up from the airport.
Costs: 30€ per transfer via car (fitting 5 passengers). It’s a one hour drive to Dahab.

Where can I stay?

We offer 3 different accomodations for you to choose between.
The first one is a very plain and therefore low-priced alternative.
On the other hand, we have accomodations comparabale to German standards which are provided with high-end equipment.

How about transportation on-site?

Within the town of Dahab, pretty much every location is reachable by foot.
In case of heavy leg syndrome after a while, pretty much every car around is also a cab.
For about 1€ anyone is happy to take you wherever you desire. That’s part of the mentality in Dahab.

What’s for food?

The food alone is worth a trip to Dahab. There is meat (mainly chicken), super fresh seafood, vegeterian and vegan dishes.
These are recommendable and of course cheap to get.
For those of you who prefer Pizza, Pasta, Pastries and can simply not do without their beloved rumpsteak, will also get one’s money’s worth.

What should I pack?

To enable your work at a coworking space, you will need to bring your own laptop.
Anything else, like printer, scanner and of course a reliable internet connection are provided by us.
Comfy and light clothes are recommanded for your own good. Those, who are seen in shirt and suit will rather be regarded as exotic.
You can bring your clothes to the laundry on-site. After one day, you will get back your things well washed and ironed.
Concerning medication, you should not forget to bring your usual pills. Don’t worry about the rest.; headaches, diarrhoea and remedies against other complaints can be bought in Dahab for little money.
Anyway, German medication does’t work on the different sorts of bacteria which are common in Arabian countries.
Last but not least, don’t forget sunblocker!


What kind of people or jobs is this coworking space meant for?

Everyone is welcome!!!
Whether freelancer, startup, department manager of a bigger company, digital nomad, student who works on his/her bachelor- or master thesis or or or…..
Within the coworking space, everyone is equal to each other; there is no such thing like a hierachy.

Even if you just want to put up your feet and relax in Dahab to experience the culture, landscape and the people. That’s not a problem, we are also happy to help you here.

Alles ist möglich! Von einer Abenteuerreise übers Schreiben deiner Bachelorarbeit bis zur Gründung deines Unternehmens. Oder willst du dich einmal vollständig „entschleunigen“ und die Alltagsbremse ziehen?
Unsere Idee: Dahab ist ein sehr wertvoller und vielseitiger Ort. Hier haben wir unseren inneren Frieden gefunden und möchten einen Coworking Space eröffnen.
Was ist Coworking?

Coworking ist eine Entwicklung im Bereich „neue Arbeitsformen“. Hier treffen sich Freelancer, Startups und digitale Nomaden, um neben- und miteinander zu arbeiten. Die gegenseitige Unterstützung und die Community spielen dabei eine tragende Rolle.
Dahab ist ein außergewöhnlich schönes Fleckchen Erde und ist perfekt dafür geeignet, mal außerhalb der gewohnten vier Wände neue Kraft und Ideen für deine Arbeit zu schöpfen. Hier werden neue Energien freigesetzt und man holt so richtig Anlauf, um durchzustarten.

Das ist Dahab!

Die kleine alte Hippiestadt liegt auf der Sinai Halbinsel in Ägypten, ca. eine Stunde nördlich von dem Flughafen in Sharm el Shaik entfernt. Auf der Sinai Halbinsel leben größtenteils Beduinen. Sie waren einst ein Wandervolk, bis sie auf „das Gold“ gestoßen sind. („Dahab“ bedeutet „Gold“) Die Menschen hier strahlen alle eine tiefe innere Zufriedenheit aus, die jeden direkt ansteckt. Außerdem ticken die Uhren hier einfach in einem anderen Rhythmus. Einen friedvolleren Ort habe ich auf keiner meiner Weltreisen gesehen.

Unter anderem deshalb ist Dahab perfekt, um von dort aus zu arbeiten. Besonders wenn das Wetter in Deutschland wieder ungemütlich wird, lässt es sich in Dahab (bei zu 95% klarem Himmel) nirgends besser motivieren. Zudem sind wir hier voller neuer Ideen und entwickeln leichter neue Sichtweisen auf Konzepte oder Projekte und überwinden unsere Betriebsblindheit. Eine wissenschaftliche Erklärung dafür können wir dir allerdings nicht liefern. Die muss es aber unseres Erachtens auch nicht immer für alles geben. Man muss es selbst erlebt haben.;-)

Was bietet mir Dahab in der Freizeit?
Hier gibt es allerhand geniale Sportangebote wie z.B.

- Eine Stunde Yoga vor oder nach der Arbeit
- Mehrere Weltklasse Tauchspots (Blue Hole, Canyon etc.)
- Erstklassige Windbedingungen für Kite- und Windsurfen
- Freediving (Apnoetauchen)
- Klettern
- oder einen Runde Joggen an der Promenade wenn die Stadt gerade erwacht

Was kostet mich der Spaß?

Die Kosten, die in Dahab für dieses Coworking-Erlebnis entstehen, sind niedrig.
Lebenshaltungskosten sind dort so gering, dass man unter Umständen sogar einiges an Geld spart, im Vergleich zum Leben und Arbeiten in Deutschland.
Die Flüge hin und zurück kosten im Durchschnitt 260 bis 330 € (Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Berlin, München...). wir haben aber auch schon einige Flüge für 200 Euro gesehen. Eine sehr gute Hauptmahlzeit mit Vorspeisen, Getränk und Shisha bekommt man schon ab 4-5 Euro. Bei uns bekommst du eine Unterkunft inklusive Coworkingplace ab 30 Euro/pro Tag.

Wie komme ich vom Flughafen in Sharm el Shaik nach Dahab?

Wir organisieren dir sehr gern einen Transport, der dich direkt am Flughafen abholt. Kostenpunkt: 30 Euro pro Fahrt und Auto (bis zu 5 Personen). Die Fahrt dauert ca. eine Stunde.

Wo kann ich übernachten?

Wir bieten drei verschiedene Unterkünfte an. Einmal eine wirklich einfache und sehr preisgünstige Variante, dann eine die sich mit deutschen Verhältnissen messen kann und eine wirklich noble Variante. Bilder und nähere Beschreibungen folgen in Kürze.
